Epilogue

            On the year 2062, four decades after the Great War, the first successful subhuman was brought into existence by geneticists Aiden Lee, Henry Lau and Marcus Cho. Soon, their brainchild brought forth the first wave of early subhuman surrogates called teras. The teras looked like malformed humans and reacted to physical stimuli just like real people, but they had slightly underdeveloped nervous systems. Their sole purpose was to be test subjects for newly discovered medicines and other experiments that were deemed risky for humans.

           At first, the creation of these artificial beings was banned by the government of the New World Order because it spawned a black market for organ donors for the rich and dying. But when the seventh great ruler rose to power, the study on subhuman surrogates was legitimized and funded by the government. This gave birth to the new breed of subhumans later called the spares.
